Newsroom

Today, on World Elder Abuse Day, we acknowledge that in many parts of the world, elder abuse occurs with little recognition or response. It is a global social issue which affects the health, wellbeing, independence and human rights of millions of older people around the world, and an issue which deserves the attention of all in the community.

Elder abuse can take a number of forms, including physical, sexual, phycological, financial, abandonment and neglect, and loss of dignity and respect.

At Regis, we are committed to providing a safe, caring, and open environment for all our residents and clients.

If you think someone you know is being subjected to elder abuse, we encourage you to call the National Elder Abuse phone line on 1800 353 374.
