Meet Maree, the General Manger at Regis North Fremantle who has decades of experience working in the healthcare sector. Maree started her role with Regis in February 2021 and has a background as a Registered Nurse, as well as working as the Director of Nursing and later the General Manager at a state hospital. Her prior experiences influenced her passion for providing quality care to older members of the community, leading her to transition into aged care.
“I love spending time with residents and their families. Our residents and their life stories amaze me every day,” Maree says.
As the General Manager, Maree is responsible for ensuring all employees can perform their roles to meet residents’ needs to an exceptional standard. “No two days are the same, it is a very busy role filled with a multitude of goals to achieve,” Maree shares. Maree expresses that she prioritises spending time with residents and regularly seeks their feedback to ensure they are constantly improving.
Maree reiterates that aged care is about teamwork, and shares “the amazing team at Regis North Fremantle always go above and beyond each and every day.” As well as the passionate and skilled team she leads, what she enjoys most about her work at Regis is meeting residents and families, supporting them throughout their aged care journey.
“I have always been passionate about caring for our older adults, I love hearing about their lives and learning from their wisdom,” says Maree.
