Meet Emily Morrison, our latest addition to the Regis Chelmer community and our new Club Services Manager.

Emily was attracted to the aged care sector because of the meaningful relationship she had with her grandmother. She learnt the importance of providing a high standard of care to the elderly and wanted to transfer this into her career.

“As part of my role, I assist with residential enquiries and deliver the tours around our home to potential residents and their families. I value getting to know each and every person as they enter our home so that I can better understand their needs and preferences,” shares Emily.

“Being the Club Services Manager at Regis Chelmer, I ensure all residents’ daily experiences are as pleasant and comfortable as possible.”

Emily expresses that she likes the sense of poise elderly people provide when they share stories about their life.

“Their faces light up and are full of joy when they reminisce and are surrounded with music, family and their grandchildren. It’s a beautiful legacy towards life.”

For those looking to start a career in aged care, Emily says that it provides a rewarding benefit when you know that you have made a tremendous difference in the lives of the elderly.

“You’re able to build rapport with families and care givers to ensure a holistic approach towards care is delivered. Practicing self-care, compassion and reflection will provide some comfort in a career in aged care,” shares Emily.
