This International Nurses Day, meet Helee Park, Project Manager in the national Clinical Care team at Regis Aged Care.

Helee embarked on her journey as a nurse at the University of South Korea when she was 18 and moved to Australia to pursue her career after her studies. When asked what the most rewarding aspect of being a nurse is, Helee shared that it’s “to see residents continuing their beautiful life journey with their choices and preferences being respected. I feel rewarded seeing residents enjoy their life as much as they can.”

Having been part of the Regis community since 2012, Helee expressed that she is “very proud to be an aged care nurse because nurses working in the sector collectively have demonstrated how resilient they are as health professionals during this challenging time.”

When speaking of the voices that support her each day, Helee articulated that every resident’s voice is heard and every resident enjoys each day the way they want. “I support residents who deserve to live as per their preferences, regardless of where they live and what stage they are in their life. I am a big advocate of Advance Care Planning as it ensures the residents’ wishes are heard and respected at any stage of their lives,” said Helee.

We thank Helee and all the nurses at Regis for the incredible support they provide to our residents and their families every day.
